Completed at the very end of the 12th century, this brick church is considered the prototype that launched the Castilian-Leonese Mudéjar style, which combines Romanesque forms with brick and with decorative motifs inherited from the art of al-Andalus. A constituent element of the UNESCO listing of the routes to Santiago de Compostela in Spain (2015 extension).
