Fátima

Fátima is often reduced to the great Basilica of the Rosary, and that is an error of perspective: the sanctuary is an ensemble, organised around the esplanade of Cova da Iria. Its heart is the tiny Capelinha das Aparições, the Chapel of the Apparitions, around which have been added over the course of the century the monument to the Sacred Heart, the Paul VI Pastoral Centre and the very vast Basilica of the Holy Trinity.
