What stands there
A fountain raised by the parish and a knight of Saint-Pern to fulfil a vow, under the protection of the patron saint of Guillac.

At the place called Saint-Bertin, which the regional Inventaire file names Caruhel, the fountain takes the form of a granite wayside shrine in dressed stone, about 2.40 metres high and 2.20 wide, crowned with a moulded triangular pediment. At the centre of the pediment, the coat of arms of the Saint-Pern family is accompanied by the family motto, «QUID NI»; below it, a niche a little under a metre high houses the statue of the saint. The shrine is dated to 1665. According to the Monuments historiques record, it was raised following a double vow, after the parish had been delivered from a scourge. The Latin inscriptions preserve the memory of this: «CRAS TIBI HODIE MIHI», tomorrow for you, today for me, on the pediment, and, at the base of the niche, a dedication by which the parish of Guillac offers the fountain to Saint Bertin, a knight of Saint-Pern joining in to fulfil his own vow. Saint Bertin, abbot of Sithiu in Flanders, who died in 709 according to InfoBretagne, is the patron of the parish, and the village church is dedicated to him. The wooden statue that occupied the niche having given way to the weather, a stone statue depicting the saint as a monk replaced it in 1927. The fountain has been registered as a historic monument since 1929. None of the sources specifies the nature of the scourge from which the parish was delivered.
