The tower of Termes-d'Armagnac is the square keep, 36 metres high with walls 2 metres thick, of a castle built in the late 13th and early 14th century for the lords of Termes, vassals of the counts of Armagnac. Built on a promontory overlooking the valleys of the Adour and the Arros, it served to watch over the approaches to the county of Armagnac. Its most famous occupant was Thibault d'Armagnac, companion-in-arms of Joan of Arc in the 15th century. The tower houses a museum devoted to the history of the late Middle Ages, with an interpretation centre renewed in 2020.
