This sulphurous spring with an artesian upwelling, whose water brings up white sand, is dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. It was traditionally visited to treat skin diseases, stomach complaints and warts, visitors leaving offerings there. A procession from the village church to the fountain took place every year on 22 July, the saint's day. It is listed among the many healing springs recorded in the Landes.
