Dimensions
Two residential ranges set at right angles, flanked by four round towers with machicolations; a fifth, large square tower extends the outbuildings and closes the courtyard. A square dovecote carried on nine round piers.
Period
From the 12th to the 19th century; the main visible parts are of the 15th and 16th centuries. The stone bridge replaced the drawbridge in the 16th century.
What stands there
Classified ex officio as a monument historique in 1992; the unclassified parts — terrace, park, outbuildings — were inscribed afterwards (record PA00083078). Owned since 2011 by Michel and Catherine Guyot, who live there all year.

The château de Bridoire stands at Ribagnac, south of Monbazillac. Its two residential ranges set at right angles, its four round towers with machicolations and its large square tower date for the most part from the 15th and 16th centuries; the drawbridge was replaced by a stone bridge in the 16th century. The Foucauld family lived there from 1806. Long abandoned, it was bought back in 2011, restored, and opened to the public for the first time in 2012. It has been classified as a monument historique ex officio since 1992.

Getting there : Open to the public since 2012. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.
