What stands there
1 Marian hermitage, frequented by Joan of Arc

According to the testimonies at the rehabilitation trial of 1456, Joan of Arc came to pray almost every Saturday in this Marian hermitage near Domrémy. At Rouen in 1431 she said she had heard her first voice in her father's garden; local tradition supposes, without certainty, that some of the apparitions of Saint Michael, Saint Catherine or Saint Margaret took place at Bermont. Fifteenth-century wall paintings, in which Joan of Arc at prayer is thought to be depicted, were uncovered during the restoration work of the 1990s; the chapel has been registered as a historic monument since 1998.
