What stands there
one château, home to the Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien
On the north-western edge of the Paimpont forest, ringed by five ponds, this château is said in legend to have been the residence of Dyonas, father of the fairy Viviane. Its great pond is said to hide the crystal palace where Viviane raised Lancelot — hence his name, Lancelot of the Lake — and where the sword Excalibur was forged. Today it houses the Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien.
