One of the largest fortified castles in Europe, built of granite and schist to defend the northeastern frontier of the Duchy of Brittany. Its thirteen towers (Melusine, Raoul, Gobelins…) and its restored water mill can be visited in the heart of the old town, overlooked by the ramparts.
