The Renaissance Grand Logis on a terrace above the Vézère, preceded by its enclosure and its moats. Three garden areas: inner courtyards, a terrace garden to the south, a landscape park to the north, with a circular basin and a fountain; the Bain des Nymphes is in the park. Furnished rooms open to visitors.

A medieval fortress with walls and moats, turned into a Renaissance residence in 1576 by Jean II de Losse; gardens of the 17th–18th centuries.

Classified as a monument historique on 19 October 2007, for the built and unbuilt parts of the ensemble; Mérimée record PA00083019. Jardin remarquable label; Prix de l'Art du Jardin 2022 of the Fondation Signature - Institut de France; two stars in the Michelin Guide vert.

Losse dominates the Vézère five kilometres from Montignac. The place was first a fortress, surrounded by walls and moats; in 1576 Jean II de Losse, governor and tutor to the future Henri IV, turned it into a Renaissance residence. The family left at the Revolution and the estate fell asleep. The castle and its gardens were classified in their entirety on 19 October 2007 and have been open to visitors since 1980.
