What stands there
Romanesque mosaic with a zodiac calendar, unique in France
One of the oldest and purest Romanesque churches in Burgundy. During restoration work in 2002, archaeologists uncovered under the choir ambulatory a Romanesque mosaic depicting a zodiac calendar — a unique discovery in France, which yielded rare direct evidence of astrological symbolism built into medieval sacred architecture.
