What stands there
1 spring, numerous inscriptions carved on the rock
This spring, today a mere trickle of water flowing into the Blanque stream, bears numerous 19th-century inscriptions carved on the rock that shelters it, among them a Christian "Pax" symbol — a sign of ancient popular veneration. A local legend places Mary Magdalene here, baptising her disciples after her arrival in Provence. The site lies in the Corbières massif, a zone of geological transition between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees.
