A modest chapel dedicated to Mary Magdalene, traditional patron of lepers and outcasts, connected with the former community of the cagots — a Pyrenean minority ostracised by society from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, forced to live apart and to use separate doorways and holy-water stoups in churches.
