这是凯里郡（comté de Kerry）外海一座风吹浪打的岩石岛，基督徒修士们约在588年于此创建了基督教世界中最偏僻的修道院之一：六间蜂巢形的干砌石小室，坐落在大西洋之上218米处，通过一道618级、直接凿在岩石中的台阶才能到达。修道院使用到13世纪才被废弃，1996年起列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产。它最近因出现在《星球大战》系列电影中而广为人知，仍是“圣米迦勒圣线”的北端起点，这条线把它与圣米歇尔山相连，一直延伸到圣地。
