What stands there
8 children witnessed the apparition of 30 April 1752

According to local tradition, on 30 April 1752 eight children aged 12 to 16 discovered a small statue of the Virgin nestled in an oak tree, surrounded by ivy and by a light described as supernatural. Carried to the nearby church, the statue is said to have been found the next day at the foot of the tree. The cult, recognised by the diocese, grew despite the dispersal of the statue during the Revolution (1793): the cult was restored in 1818 and an official procession instituted in 1836.
