These four rocky points overlooking a meander of the Meuse owe their name to the legend of the four sons of Duke Aymon — Renaud, Alard, Guichard and Richard — and their fabulous horse Bayard, turned to stone on this spot according to the tradition drawn from the medieval chanson de geste. The view is listed among the remarkable natural sites of the Ardennes.
