around 210 m above sea level (Boischaut Sud, south of La Châtre)

What stands there
2 returns of the statue to the spring reported by tradition
Local tradition, not dated with certainty by independent historical sources, has it that a shepherdess discovered in a spring a wooden statue of the Virgin and Child holding a dove; taken back to the village church, it is said to have returned twice to the spring, a sign interpreted as the Virgin's wish to be venerated in this place. The chapel, destroyed at the Revolution and rebuilt in 1866, remains a place of local pilgrimage around the spring.
