What stands there
1 of the 7 cathedrals of the Tro Breiz
Founded on the site of the hermitage of Saint Brieuc, one of the seven founding saints. Its fortified appearance, with crenellated towers and arrow slits, is no mere decoration: in June 1394 the Constable Olivier de Clisson, in revolt against Duke John IV whom he had until then served loyally, laid siege to the cathedral-fortress and took it, half in ruins, after several weeks of fighting.
