1 castle
Built from 1097 by Robert II de Bellême on behalf of the king of England William Rufus, the château de Gisors is one of the most important motte castles of the Norman march facing the kingdom of France. Its octagonal 12th-century keep and artificial motte still dominate the town, on the historic border of the Norman Vexin. Listed as a monument historique since 1862, the site has been undergoing restoration campaigns since 2021.
