Perched on a spur overlooking the Seine valley at Moulineaux, this castle occupies a site fortified from the time of the first Dukes of Normandy. Destroyed and rebuilt several times, it was notably dismantled by the people of Rouen during the Hundred Years' War. King Richard the Lionheart is said to have stayed here, and the site has been listed as a historic monument since 1935.
