What stands there
A village church that once belonged to the king and keeps two stained-glass windows saved from the Templars' chapel at Sainte-Vaubourg.

Within the cemetery enclosure of Hautot-sur-Seine, rue Saint-Antonin, the church consists of a chancel carefully built in the 16th century and a more recent nave, probably rebuilt on older foundations: a Romanesque arch remains visible to the north, a relic of the building that preceded it. Works were carried out on it in the 17th and 18th centuries. The commune says it is dedicated to Saint Antonin, martyred at Apamea in Syria in the 4th century; Wikipedia names it Saint-Antoine-et-Saint-Thibaud. At the back of the nave, two stained-glass windows come from the Templars' chapel of the commandery of Sainte-Vaubourg, at nearby Val-de-la-Haye; the commune dates them to the 14th century, Wikipedia to the 13th. In 1471, the testimony of an inhabitant attests that the church belonged to King Louis XI, and the living remained directly dependent on the crown until the Revolution. Having become national property, the church was sold to private individuals; at the back of the nave, two statues of Saint Louis and Saint Constance were carved by a daughter of the family that owned it. It was later bequeathed to the commune, in 1862 or 1863 depending on the source. Abbé Cochet, a 19th-century archaeologist, recorded at Hautot a tradition according to which the parish priest had the privilege of marrying couples without their parents' permission; Wikipedia notes that the marriage registers do not bear this out. The building was listed as a historic monument in 1935.
