What stands there
The chapel of the old frairie of Le Hahon, where people came to treat their eyes at the fountain of Saint Aubin.

The chapelle Saint-Aubin, also called Saint-Albin, is that of the old frairie of Le Hahon, one of the subdivisions of the parish of Carnac, grouped around its sanctuary. A chapel is mentioned there in 1577; the present building dates, it seems, from 1667 and was restored in 1823, after damage from the Revolution, a sacristy being added to the east. It is a plain rectangular building in the Jesuit style, topped by a small bell turret in the gable. The chancel houses an 18th-century statue of Saint Alban, a Saint Joseph and a 19th-century Virgin and Child; the stone altar dates from 1974. On the placître, several Gaulish standing stones have been erected or turned into a holy-water stoup, reuses that speak of how long the site has been occupied far more than of any cult, which no source documents. Saint Aubin was invoked for eye ailments: pilgrims rubbed their eyes with water from the nearby fountain, which the commune dates to the 16th century, and which is accompanied by a well. It is also said that sailors' wives climbed up to the chapel to sweep it in the direction they wished the wind to blow, before going to pray and drink at the fountain. The sources agree neither on the building's history, which Wikipedia says was rebuilt around 1813 and then around 1925 on the plan of a 1664 chapel, nor on the date of the pardon, fixed on the first Sunday of May by the commune and in September by Wikipedia.
