What stands there
Fountain dated 1550 by inscription

At the place called L'Abbaye, in Daoulas, this small 16th-century chapel — a simple oratory with a masonry apse and open-work timber facades adorned with balusters — faces its fountain, which an inscription records was raised in 1550. The fountain, adorned with a niche with four pinnacles above its basin, illustrates the Marian cult of water so widespread in Lower Brittany. Restored in 1847 and again in 1885, the two buildings were registered together as monuments historiques. Property of the Département of Finistère, the ensemble can be visited freely, a stone's throw from the abbey of Notre-Dame de Daoulas.
