What stands there
Monument registered as a historic monument

This 14th-century calvary-fountain combines in a single small structure a cross carved on both faces and a fountain nestled beneath a small gable wall pierced with three niches. On the fountain side, a Lamentation over the dead Christ faces, on the other side, a Virgin and Child, blending Marian devotion with the cult of water so characteristic of Breton popular piety. Modest in size, the ensemble is nonetheless registered as a historic monument, a sign of the rarity of this kind of hybrid monument. It illustrates how, in Brittany, springs and calvaries often overlie one another on a single place of devotion.
