A local legend attributes a miracle to the "Lady of Mont-Laur", the charitable wife of the lord of Crocq: the bread she secretly gave to the poor is said to have turned to flowers before her husband's eyes, the Virgin having come to her aid. After her death, a blue flame is said to be seen on the turret of the church of Saint-Éloi as storms approach. A historical lady of the manor, Dauphine de Montlaur, really did govern Crocq in the 15th century; the link with the legend remains a matter of oral tradition.
