What stands there
1 of the 7 cathedrals of the Tro Breiz

Last stage of the Tro Breiz, associated with Saint Patern, one of the seven founding saints. It holds the tomb of Saint Vincent Ferrer, the Spanish Dominican preacher who died at Vannes in 1419 at the end of a two-year mission in Brittany, and was canonised in 1455 after the recognition of several hundred miracles attributed to his intercession. A statue of the saint still adorns the Porte Saint-Vincent in the ramparts: a local legend claims that on the day his stone hand drops, the town will be swallowed by the waves.
