Founded in the early 11th century on a rocky spur of the Canigou massif, this abbey combines two superimposed Romanesque churches, damaged by the 1428 Catalan earthquake and then suppressed at the Revolution in 1791. Restored from 1902, it has been occupied since 1988 by the Community of the Beatitudes and can only be reached on foot from the village of Casteil.
