What stands there
1 Romanesque basilica, walnut statue of the Virgin in Majesty dated to around 1170, annual pilgrimage on Ascension Thursday

This Auvergnat Romanesque basilica, one of the purest in the region, houses a walnut-wood Virgin in Majesty dated to around 1170, which a legend — presented as such — attributes to Saint Luke. Officially recorded under the name "church of Notre-Dame-des-Fers", it owes this name to the ex-votos of freed prisoners who came to lay down their chains and irons there in thanksgiving. Raised to the rank of basilica in 1894, it is the goal of a pilgrimage every Ascension Thursday.
