What stands there
No known object.

At the locality Fontet, a little over a kilometre north of Guérin, a small country church surrounded by its cemetery is placed under the name of Notre-Dame. The State's entry on the church says that it is mentioned as early as the 13th century and that it ‘seems associated with the presence of the neighbouring fountain’, the object of a cult since at least the 15th century. Wikipédia writes that this ‘miraculous’ fountain has given rise to an important pilgrimage since at least that time and that it is, like the church, under the protection of the Virgin. Before the Revolution the parish depended on the diocese of Bazas; it was attached in 1802 to that of Guérin. The church, restored in the 18th and 19th centuries, has been inscribed on the Monuments historiques since 30 December 1994. This entry remains short: the sources read say neither what ailment people came to cure, nor the dates of the pilgrimage, nor the pilgrims' gestures.

Getting there: Hamlet of Fontet, a little over a kilometre north of the village of Guérin, between Guérin and Bouglon, along the D 147; the church is surrounded by its cemetery. Access inside was not verified. Coordinates: locality Fontet in OpenStreetMap (Nominatim).
