What stands there
Relics of Breton saints brought home and translated on 27 August 1953

Founded in 1137 by Olivier II de Dinan and his wife Agnorie de Penthièvre, the abbey of Boquen first received monks from Bégard. Sold as national property at the Revolution, it was reborn in 1936 thanks to Dom Alexis Presse, who in 1953 brought back the relics of Breton saints in a solemn translation. The 12th-century Romanesque abbey church, reconsecrated in 1965, is distinguished by its sober west facade of large ashlar blocks. Since 2002, the Chemin Neuf community has held the services there and welcomes pilgrims and visitors, perpetuating eight centuries of spiritual life.
